After the initial coat of LP-38 a good inspection revealed a couple of flaws. The ghost seam on the spine, just ahead of the fin, was the most egregious. Ghost seams are fact of modeling, but I don’t like them.
I cleaned them up and then spot sprayed more LP-38. Looking good I then masked the tail for the Willow Green unit colors. Even with a lot of burnishing of the Tamiya tape, I still had some bleed through in a few areas. A simple re-masking of the green and spot application of LP-38 and it was good to go.

Unfortunately the black (I used Tamiya NATO Black) revealed my ghost seams were back. The one aft was visible again and there was a new one just behind the center wing pylon. More filling and sanding…

After cleaning that up I decided to apply some paint to the upper wing. First a coat of pink primer. Then a coat of yellow. But which yellow? Time for some testing.
Thanks for looking…
